Important Exam Day Instructions You Must Follow – JEE Main 2025

The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will be conducted on 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30 January, while Session 2 will be held from 1 to 8 April 2025. To ensure a smooth and fair examination process, candidates must strictly follow all official guidelines and instructions issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Exam Hall Guidelines – JEE Main 2025

Candidates must follow all rules inside the exam hall to avoid disqualification or being marked under Unfair Means (UFM), which may lead to a 3-year ban from future NTA exams.

• Do not carry any prohibited items inside the examination hall.
• Avoid any form of cheating or helping others to cheat.
• Do not interact with fellow candidates during the exam.
• Threatening behavior towards staff or other candidates is strictly banned.
• Tampering or forging documents such as admit cards or declarations is a serious offense.
• Unauthorized entry or exit from the exam hall is not permitted.
• Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, smartwatches, or calculators are not allowed.
• Do not cause disruption during the exam.
• Avoid unnecessary movement or distraction inside the exam hall.
• Do not hold more than one application number or admit card.

Documents Required on Exam Day

Make sure to carry the following documents to the exam centre:

• Printed copy of JEE Main 2025 Admit Card
• Self-declaration form
• One recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form)
• Valid photo ID proof
• Disability certificate (if applicable)
• Simple transparent ballpoint pen

Items Prohibited in the Exam Hall

To maintain transparency and discipline, the following items are not allowed:

• Any stationery item other than a transparent ballpoint pen
• Printed or written material, notes, or loose sheets
• Electronic devices (mobiles, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, etc.)
• Bags, wallets, or accessories
• Eatables (Only sugar tablets or fruits like bananas/apples/oranges are allowed for diabetic students)
• Jewellery or metal accessories

Dress Code for Female Candidates – JEE Main 2025

• Wear plain, simple clothes without too many pockets or layers.
• Avoid heavy or elaborate clothing to facilitate smooth frisking.
• Refrain from wearing jewellery, makeup, or other accessories.
• Keep the hairstyle basic and manageable.
• Opt for flat footwear like slippers or sandals. Avoid high heels, shoes, or boots.

Dress Code for Male Candidates – JEE Main 2025

• Wear comfortable and basic outfits like a shirt, t-shirt, kurta, or jeans.
• Avoid electronic wearables, jewellery, or accessories.
• Choose simple footwear like slippers or sandals. Shoes and boots are not allowed.
