The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced a special counselling round based on JEE Main 2025 scores. This additional round will be conducted for B.Tech admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes. Under the JEE Main Supernumerary Round, eligible students from Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are given the opportunity to secure B.Tech admissions in NIT Durgapur, NIT Calicut, and SVNIT Surat. This round is conducted exclusively for students from Union Territories to ensure equitable access to premier institutes.
The JEE Main 2025 special rounds will be held only for seats left vacant in the NIT+ system after JoSAA 2025 counselling. This year, three rounds of JoSAA counselling will be conducted, after which CSAB will take over the remaining admission process through its special and supernumerary rounds.

1. JEE Main 2025 Eligible Candidates: All students who have appeared for JEE Main 2025 and have a valid rank for JoSAA 2025 or CSAB 2025 Special Round.
2. State Eligibility Code: The candidate’s State Code of Eligibility must be from one of the following Union Territories:
3. No Seat Allotted: The candidate must not have been allotted a valid seat in the NIT+ system after any round of JoSAA 2025 or CSAB 2025.
If a candidate meets all three criteria, they are eligible to apply for the CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Round.
1. Already Occupied Students: Candidates who have a seat at the end of JoSAA/CSAB 2025 and are eligible for PI Reporting cannot participate in this round.
2. Seat Occupiers under DASA 2025: Students who have already secured admission in an institute through the DASA 2025 scheme are not eligible to apply in the CSAB Supernumerary Round.
This round is conducted only for special supernumerary seats reserved for students from Union Territories.
