JEE Main 2025 Update: NTA Shifts Exam Centres from Prayagraj to Varanasi Due to Mahakumbh Mela – JEE Main 2025 Session 1

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important update regarding the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 1. Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which is causing significant travel and logistical challenges, the NTA has shifted the exam centres scheduled on 28 January 2025, 29 January 2025, and 30 January 2025 from Prayagraj to Varanasi.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main on these revised dates can now download their updated admit cards from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in by logging in with their application number and password. The admit card includes crucial information such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, exam date and time, and the new examination centre.

Previous Admit Card Release

Admit cards for candidates scheduled to appear on 22 January 2025, 23 January 2025, and 24 January 2025 were already released on 18 January 2025. All candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card to the examination centre.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

Candidates must ensure the following:

  • Ensure that the QR code and barcode on the admit card are clearly visible.
  • Carry a valid photo ID (same as uploaded in the application form) for identity verification.
  • Read all instructions mentioned on the admit card and question paper, including subject-specific guidelines.
  • Arrive at the exam venue as per the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 is being conducted at centres across India and in 15 international cities. The NTA urges all candidates to strictly follow the guidelines to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
